This was the first time I’d seen a member of the Grateful Dead since I saw the band at Wembley in October 1990. Once again I had just come back from Glastonbury and because of that I’d missed the other UK shows on this tour 
After the gig we headed over to the 12 Bar club just around the corner to catch the Grateful Dead tribute band the Cosmic Charlies – there were rumours about Bob Weir coming over to jam which sadly didn’t happen but Kenny Brooks, the sax player from Ratdog did turn up and play with them on one song!
