Can’t remember much about this Roy Harper gig and online searches haven’t been much help either except to tell me that it was the final night of a four night run at the Bloomsbury. Tickets were £5 and seating was unreserved.
Support was James Varda

Really enjoying this website. We have traced similar paths, I started gig going in the late 70’s at Newcastle City Hall and was a many of the ones you highlighted (Hillage, Rush, Tangerine Dream) I moved to London in 1988, and being a big Roy Harper fan already, I was at these Bloomsbury gigs. Support was James Varda (not Paul, and sadly no longer with us). Roy was promoting his `Descendants of Smith’ album and had his son Nick alongside for much of it. It was a great run of gigs, and whilst I recorded a lot of Roy gigs, I didn’t record these sadly.
