This period was the end of my time living down in the South East of England – it was quite a tough time due to the global recession and the idealogical austerity imposed by an awful coalition government meaning that money was tight and I didn’t get to go to many gigs – except free ones! At the end of 2014 we moved back to mt native North East and the first gig I went to was Geordie favourites Lindisfarne at the Newcastle City Hall – a venue I hadn’t been to in nearly 30 years!
Then all at once I heard some music playing in my bones
the same old song I’d heard for years, reminding me of home
